Who says you can’t get an Incredible Christmas Outfit from Goodwill? As someone who loves thrifting, I couldn’t pass on the offer from Oklahoma Goodwill Industries to collaborate with them to share a Christmas outfit look from pieces they sell. I knew this will be a fun task to do because why not!!!
If you are reading this for the first time, I am an avid thrifter and I thrive on the benefits I derive from it. You can absolutely shop sustainably for your Christmas outfits and you will still look Incredible while saving some coins. You can check out My Instagram page and Youtube Channel for all things Fashion and Beauty.
When it comes to Christmas, you know I love to simply pull my best in a relatable way. When I was asked to create a #THRIFTMAS look, I was unsure what I wanted to create but definitely knew I would pair different items to create one or just look for a fantastic dress. Whichever my choice was going to be, I was definitely going to add more glam to make it VERY CHRISTMASSY!
With thrifting comes a technique and I sure used it. I walked around to see what could potentially look like a Christmas outfit and if I could pair them excellently.
Digging through the racks, and I saw this Black Pleated Maxi Skirt, I immediately knew it was coming home with me, and a skirt like this, is unique and would be perfect for any event you have. It is well made with an interesting water-proof like fabric which will be great if you ever spill your drink. The next step was finding a top to go with it. I stumbled on a couple of items until I found this sequin sweater which is the PERFECT style and color for Christmas. I knew they would be a match, the suitable #THRIFTMAS look!
I was able to snag another look which I am currently sharing on my Instagram Stories, so go check that out.
For styling, I decided to put my hair in an Up-do, accessorizing with my Metallic Chinese Laundry Sandals, and Kurt Geiger Clutch which will help enhance the Christmas over all look and create a contrast for the black skirt.
Since I have my hair in an UP-Do, I went ahead and threw on these my Statement Shashi Posey Earrings for that overall glam look I was going for, and my Steve Madden Chunky Bangles.
When you shop from your local Goodwill, your purchases go towards eliminating unemployment. So I encourage you to shop locally, contribute to sustainable fashion while helping the society at the same time.
