Frantic shopping is something I try not to indulge in because, curating my outfits is something I do all season round regardless of trends or not. I purchase something because I like something, or I want to fill a gap in my closet, and not because it’s on trend. When you move in this light, you tend not to frantic shop for every season.

I curate my Fall outfits from pulling from what I already have in my closet. Sometimes, I may want to buy a few bits but never shop for a full closet of Fall pieces. As someone who wears a lot of colors, I can guarantee that I probably have the next Fall color trend in my wardrobe and my only need to accessories it.
Around Summer time, I took a stroll into H&M and found this ribbed long sleeve top, and knew right away it was going to fit perfectly into my closet. It is good transition piece that will pair nicely with jeans, pants or maxi skirt depending on the look you are going for. Mustard yellow is a color I love, and I wasn’t going to let this top pass by. Fall comes around, and I began curating my looks. I pulled this top, remembered I had a pair of brown pants I made back in Nigeria, and this Victoria’s Secret Brown Faux Fur bag I thrifted a while back. These individual pieces paired beautifully well together.
The only ‘newer” piece amongst this look, is this pair of patent leather boots from Zara which my husband got for me. I need a dark brown boots to serve a purpose in my closet, and this pair fits right in.
