There is a fun element which prints and patterns bring to an entire look. Whether it’s the color, the style, or design, there is something beautiful about prints. If you stick to wearing solid clothing, it can be intimidating to wear prints. Truth is they are super easy to style.
Today’s blog post is in collaboration with New York & Company and I will sharing more on how to style this their Floral-Print Pleated Skirt.
If there is any season where florals and prints should be worn, is Spring and this Skirt is no exception. The accordion pleat on this skirt, creates a sense of movement, free, airy, lightweight and perfect for the season especially on hot sunny days. Comes in a perfect blend of colors, which can be styled by choosing one shade to highlight. It comes with an elastic waist band, a half side zip, a hook and eye for closure and a side slit which hits perfectly below the knee.
Decided to style it with a fuschia pink top, to highlight the pink on the skirt, a black straw block heeled Mules (something similar HERE)and a black croc mini bag. We won’t dive into print mixing but a simple way to incorporate and style a floral skirt like this, is to pick one color on the skirt or you can always deviate from the colors on your floral piece and go with the flow.

Style with any accessory that you feel comfortable with or you can choose a neutral pair of footwear to keep the look simple, clean and cohesive. Never think too hard on an outfit, throw different pieces on and see which one you feel your best in.
