When it comes to fabrics, there are certain prints and patterns that will always be in style. These prints pioneered centuries ago, stood test of style times, never gone as they are acceptable all year long and we are talking about FLORALS!!
In today’s blog article, I will cover the nature of floral pieces and how to style them. From cottage days to city days, floral prints are spectacular fabrics that are worn by many people in the fashion industry. Let me rephrase, it is a fabric that is worn by any and all, irrespective of their fashion taste or interest.
Florals prints are delicate and feminine by nature, and so are the fabrics used to make various fashionable pieces from dresses, tops, pants and skirts etc. There are hundreds of floral designs and colors to choose from as they come in various options which are largely worn world wide, especially in Spring Summer.
These prints are used to level up your summer look, from boring to fun and bubbly. When you incorporate them into your summer wardrobe, they tend to jazz up the simple and solid fabrics your have. While some prints may come off too tacky, because the florals are not nicely placed, there are are ton of them that are pretty, gorgeous, daring and beautiful. Floral patterns can be hectic to pull off because they are full of colors and you may get confused on what shoes to pick, what accessories to use, and the style of your hair! Yes hair plays a huge role in how to style your outfits.
When choosing your floral pieces, take into consideration your body type and your color preference. If you are on the bigger side, smaller floral patterns are your best choice since larger floral patterns will tend to add a few pounds to your silhouette and vice versa for people on the small side because larger flowers are more flattering to petite body types.
I chose to style this WAYF floral bodysuit with my Hanifa magenta pants to highlight the pink florals on the top. My top comes in different floral patterns but mine is the Coral Carnation. For my accessories, of course I chose my magenta Dolce Vita shoes to create that Monotone look with my pants while my bodysuit breaks it off.
