How To Style A Non Traditional Holiday Outfit.

Non traditional Christmas outfit ideas

Imagine walking into a room full of people wearing all reds and greens for a holiday party, they will all look alike even though they look fabulous. One thing about standing out, is dressing differently, especially when it has to do with traditional holiday colors.

I gasped when I put this look together. Who knew yellow, white and silver will be an incredible twist to a traditional holiday outfit. Although white and silver are known colors for the holiday season, I decided to style them with a yellow cardigan for an interesting look, while maintaining the overall appearance of a festive look. If I could pick, I would wear this to a Christmas lunch party as a casual but festive dress code.

Whites and metallics are known to be holiday outfit colors and tones. If you need to tamper it down to look a little different, you can style them with blues or pink.

Accessorizing this look was a no brainer. A chunky silver chain link necklace ties the entire festive element together. The white, metallic and silver is a great play off for the yellow cardigan, making it a relaxed but dressy look. Going for something casual for the holidays?, this is a look worth trying out.

Keep you makeup minimal with a pop of red lipstick, the trending color for the season. This is a great way to also incorporate red, which is a traditional color, without wearing a full on red holiday outfit. You can also accessories with either a red bag, a pair of red sling backs etc.
