Skincare is expensive and so is everything self care related. However, there are lots of affordable skincare brands that even work better than the expensive ones. It also seems far fetched when you have to keep restocking on items that are anything from $48- $90 every month or two. Depending on your skin needs, this can be very daunting.

I remember a friend of mine asked that I recommend some skincare products to her, and I mentioned mostly drug store skincare like Neutrogena, Bioderma etc. She came back to me saying “Skincare is very expensive”, and I don’t know if I can keep up. She had racked up nothing less than $100 trying to buy basic skincare products likes cleansers, moisturizer and sunscreen.
As someone who is an avid skincare lover, I would say I have tried a bunch of different products with caution from highs to lows. These are the affordable ones I can recommend having without breaking the bank.
Affordable skincare
Neutrogena is the first affordable skincare brand I used until I discovered other brands that are great for my skin and about the same price. One of which is Honest beauty. It is a clean skincare brand that ranges between $15 to $35, which is a very fair price when it comes to clean skincare. I enjoy using their Hydrogel cream and Hyaluronic Acid serum during the winter season. You can find them at Target and Walgreens.
Pacifica Beauty is another affordable skincare brand that is very good. They just released a moisturizing cleansing oil called “Melt For You” for only $14 and oh my! It can be easily comparable to the Elemis Cleansing Balm for a fraction of $66.
Elf Skin as most of you know is a really good one as well. Very afforbale, does the work and doesn’t irritate the skin. Versed is another affordable skincare brand and I used their day dissolve cleansing balm which retails for $18.
Cocokind is a good one too, especially their ceramide cream. It is a good skin barrier cream and my skin loved it.
