Me and dry skin share so many similarities lol. It is the one I was born with and I have gradually learned how to improve and maintain it into becoming more hydrated and less dry.
If you experience dry skin like me, there are ways to effectively take care of your skin so it looks great. Keep reading for all the tips needed.

With any skin type, the colder/winter months tends to affect all skin. Whether you have oily, dry or combination skin, there are adjustments we need to make from season to season. As one whose skins gets drier, I up my skincare routine by doubling on how I moisturize my skin. It is all about the layers of moisture you bring to your skin, to deeply hydrate and protect it from getting dry and cracked.
My shower routine stays the same with slight adjustments like less body scrubbing and exfoliating. I tamper down on how often I dry brush and body scrub. Although it’s good to always exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells, it is advisable to exfoliate once a week or every other week as the skin becomes more sensitive and irritable in colder weather. If you must, use softer bristle and be gentle in your sessions. This loccitane almond shower oil is a must have asa last step in my routine and I can tell the difference it adds to my skin post shower.

Once I get out of the shower I quickly apply body oils on my damp skin. As months get colder, I switch up the routine by applying the shea butter first and seal it with the body oils. This additional step makes for a deep level of hydration.
