I am a true and true lip balm girl, but that doesn’t stop me from trying other formulas like glosses, lip stains, lip sticks etc. I run through my lippies faster than I run through skin tints or concealers because, you can never see me go a day without applying and reapplying my lip products.
These two are on quick rotation this Fall. They are the perfect Fall shades, great formulas and don’t feel sticky at all. The Summer Fridays lip balm has made its rounds and for a $24 lip balm? They sold and continue to sell because they do the job.
However, I recently popped into target to pick something and of course, I always check their beauty section, and I found this Naturium lip balm for $10!. I quickly grabbed it and couldn’t wait to come home and compare the swatch with my Summer Fridays. They are close enough in formula and make for the perfect Fall lip shades.
Summer Fridays will make for a perfect neutral lip, while Naturium will make for the perfect chocolate brown lip.
These are liquid lip sticks that dry down matte. Very saturated but doesn’t feel too dry on the lips. If I had to top them with a lip gloss, I would use the Summer Fridays lip balm as a topper for shade “fighter” and “visionary” is on the right. The purple shade when paired with a good gloss and lip liner, will make for a good plum lip shade for Fall.
