My trip to London, was focused on connecting with family and friends. It has been almost 10 years since I last visited, having moved to start my family here in the US. It was an emotional and much needed trip.

My trip would not be complete without packing my necessities i.e skincare and makeup. I threw in my “I cannot do without this product” and some extras. Not pictured is my versed day dissolve cleansing balm which my skin has come to love dearly.

Mom’s 70th birthday and I had to show up in this Bubu number for the thanksgiving service after the party Saturday night. If you follow along on my Instagram, you must have seen all the fun party activities. Once that was over, I hit the ground running with driving, walking and shopping on the streets of London.
reconnecting with london.
I miss the fast paced life, the rush you experience trying to catch your bus or train to the next stop. The people, comfortably walking around with a large crowd and not feeling awkward. We did quite a lot of window shopping, shopping etc. It was a way of connecting back with the city.
Are you even in London if you do not do one street shopping? That was the first shopping trip I made with my mother. Then we progresses into the High street i.e Central London where all the tourist attractions are. We shopped till the next day literally by coming home at 12:05am. It was a long journey by car drive, trains and buses to get there, and we didn’t start the day until 4pm.
Harrods on Knightsbridge was our first stop, where we picked out some fragrances and beauty products. I was not keen on doing a lot of shopping because I truly didn’t need anything, except basic underwear for my boys, for which I stopped at Primark on Park Lane for. You cannot beat the quality of their basics. That I bought quite a lot.

Selfridges was top on my nieces list but unfortunately she didn’t;t get in because they had closed. My sister and I decided to go alone another day, and we were able to pick some more beauty products. It was an all round just for experience purposes and not necessarily to shop much.
Did you even visit the UK if you didn’t try their Nando’s? So nostalgic that my mom and I popped in for a quick dinner before catching our train back home.

The Burgundy trend is huge. It is truly the color for Fall/Winter. I was drawn to all things burgundy, but I only picked 2 items, after being cautioned by my sister severally lol.
I am going to keep this short and end it here, but I did share more still pictures on my Instagram and TikTok.
