Work wear or as we may call it, office look, has taken a turn recently, and people are drawing the line as to what is really appropriate to wear to a corporate setting. Whether your work place has an unspoken rule as to what is permissible, some silent rules still apply as to what is appropriate for work wear.
This work wear rule depends on your work place setting. If they allow for casual corporate, by all means go for it. A pair of jeans dressed up with a button down shirt will do. A pair of jeans with a tank top styled with a well tailored blazer over it will do. However, what I think will not pass is a very mini skirt that reveals excessive skin, legs and toes!
I love a nice pair of sneakers to work, dressed up with tailored pants or Jeans.
My work place requires corporate casual that doesn’t permit sweatpants. There are days we dress down and days we look very corporate. Whichever day it is, you will find me dressing the part.
How I dress to work, has heavily influenced different roles I have been asked to act in. The saying that goes “how you dress is how you will be addressed”, still applies.
