Hi everyone, hope you all are doing great. I am sharing my journey on being published as a “Fashion Editor” and “Stylist”
A lady approached me at the Mall saying she wanted me to be a Model for her upcoming “Teenage Magazine” it turned out I had to be the stylist for the photo shoot. First off I was disqualified because I am not a Teenager, however I prefer the role I got to play eventually.
Depicting culture and ethnicity, I had to be creative on how to style the Black Girl. The idea came easy and quickly. The White Girl is from Choctaw Nation here in Oklahoma.
Playing with pieces of African Fabric to achieve that look for the Cover was a great deal to me and I am happy I nailed it!
The first issue launched on the 29th of September, and the website would be launching later this month where you get to see all the beautiful young girls I styled!
Be sure to look out for http://www.opalmag.com when it launches.
