How To Dress Up A Sweatshirt.

This year, cozy and comfy clothes have fast become the order of the day. We went from having an office to go into to, to working from home, hence there were lots of marketing going on around sweatshirts and cozy outfits for staying at home. This Blog Post Is In Collaboration with Molara Brands and I will be sharing more on this their STRONG CLASSIC SWEATSHIRT.

You can check out my Instagram Page and Youtube Channel for all things Fashion and Beauty.

Molara is a women owned brand that specializes in T-shirts and Sweatshirts. They are focused on building and empowering women across the world especially in the United States. I drew particular interest to this brand because the owner is originally from Nigeria, a native of Yoruba and I am Nigerian, which gives me that sense of heritage from their brand.

At Molara Brands, they are focused on creating:

  1. Buttery-soft t-shirts and sweatshirts with inspirational statements,
  2. Donating apparel to empower and cheer-on cancer patients and NICU babies, and
  3. Provide employment to artisans in Nigeria and local manufacturers in the U.S. (via Molara Website)

SWEATSHIRT IN A MEDIUM.

It is a sturdy and warm sweatshirt bound to keep you cozy. A classic fit sweater that’s made with air-jet spun yarn for a soft feel and reduced pilling. Pre-shrunk to make sure its shape and size is retained through several washes. • 50% cotton, 50% polyester • Classic fit with no center crease • Air-jet spun yarn with a soft feel and reduced pilling • Double-needle stitched collar, shoulders, armholes, cuffs, and hem (VIA MOLARA’S WEBSITE)

Although sweatshirts are considered comfy cozy outfits, you can totally dress them up for anything. I decided to style this sweatshirt with an oversized button down shirt, a white pair of jeans and a some black patent boots by Kenneth Cole. For my accessories, I threw on my Chunky Petra Collar Necklace from Shop bop, to bring a bit of feminism to the entire look.

I kept the look simple and clean by using the white jeans to help focus/highlight the inspirational quote on the Sweatshirt. I didn’t want to take away from the sweatshirt but add to it in a simple way that will still make it the center of the entire look.

Another way to style this sweat shirt is by throwing on a Blazer over it, some pair of jeans and some heels, which I refrained from doing so the sweatshirt can easily be seen. You do not necessarily have to wear a shirt underneath as this is just one way to style it. If you are a skirt or shorts wearer, you can also pair this with some leather skirt or shorts.
