I am all for a piece that is comfortable and warm at the same time, especially for Fall/Winter where you have to use the layering technique to keep warm. If by now, you don’t have a ribbed or knit skirt as it may be called, you are definitely missing out. The comfort and style a ribbed skirt brings is unmatched and I plan on having them in all colors and length for Fall/Winter.
Ribbed skirts are typically made out of a thicker fabric, which most times come in a wooly or sweater-like material. They tend to be worn all year round depending on the thickness of the fabric, but preferably during the cooler months because they keep you warm. They come in different lengths, sizes, designs and of course colours.
An interesting part to these rib knit skirts is that fact that most brands currently make them as a set, which makes styling easy as you don’t have to think of how and what to pair them with.
Thinking of what to pair them with even if they come separately, they are worn with shirts, tops, tank tops, body suits and for the cooler seasons, a cardigan, sweater or coat. The become more stylish when you style them with a pair of boots depending on the length of the skirt. Usually, I will go with a calf high boot or a knee length boot for more coverage and warmth. With a length like mine and no slit, I can style with an ankle length high heel boots and they will be perfect for Fall/Winter. For mini knit skirts, thigh high boots are advisable to go with, especially in the winter months, but for Fall, they can be styled with a calf or ankle length boot.
Another way to style them it by throwing on a pair of Panty hose underneath, especially in the Winter time as they serve as an extra layer.
