What Is Skincare Infused Makeup?

skincare-infused foundation to try out.

You must have heard about skincare-infused makeup. If you haven’t, they are currently the buzz right now in the beauty industry, and I will tell you why. Some may think it’s just trend that will quickly go away like clean girl era or mob wife aesthetic. I think, the skincare-infused era is a start of something that is here to stay, and I am loving it so far.

Thinking about introducing more skincare into your routine, but find it difficult to choose what works for your skin type, incorporating skincare-infused makeup products is a good direction to take. These products do the job of a makeup while providing your skin with skin loving ingredients. These ingredients are Hyaluronic Acid which is a must use on a daily basis, Vitamins, Cermides and in some cases sunscreen. These power packed ingredients are not only important, but they also provide your skin with long lasting benefits.

However, keep in mind that these skincare-infused makeup products cannot be a substitute or replacement for skincare products. They can only be used to augment your routine.

the advantages of wearing makeup with skincare benefits.

The best skincare makeup is infused with high quality active ingredients that provides long lasting results. They are designed to hydrate, brighten and nourish the skin. One of the best ways of incorporating these type of products, is by using tinted moisturizers that are infused with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamins or Sunscreen.

I currently have about 4 different brands on my vanity, but I do reach out to the Smashbox Healthy Halo Glow Tinted Moisturizer more often.

You will begin to see improvement in your skin texture and tone, your skin will be protected from environmental stressors, reduced breakouts and acne spots.

Another skin loving ingredient I love in makeup products is sunscreen. I do not depend on the sunscreen in my makeup alone, I always apply sunscreen as the last step in my skincare routine and then top up with any tinted moisturizer or hydrating mist that contains SPF as well. Who says you can have too much sunscreen on.

If you prefer to wear more foundation, I recently got the Lancome Care and Glow Serum Foundation and it is good! It is breathable yet packed with nourishing ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid and smoothing Mandelic Acid for a healthy glow finish.

The Chantecaille Future Skin gel Foundation as been a staple on my makeup vanity and it contains 60% water, aloe and arnica which soothes the skin.
