What’s a weekend without a Sephora trip? When you are busy throughout the week, you tend to look for more exciting things to do over the weekend. Things like brunching, makeup and clothes shopping, sight seeings etc
I feel very fortunate and blessed to have friends who love to spend the weekend with us. This gets me into my hosting mood because I do it as a way of expressing my love for people. We had friends come over for the weekend and I created an itinerary for us.
On Friday evening, we took a trip to Sephora and Ulta to do what girls love to do, shop shop shop for makeup. It’s always a good time to go in a swatch makeup, test things out and walk out, but we bought some products. I love going in to see what’s new in terms of makeup and skincare, and also know what prices are; because as a beauty creator that gets sent PR packages, you never know the worth/prices of most items except you look them up. When we took a trip to Ulta, I discovered that Serena Williams has a beauty brand called WYN Beauty, which I never knew. What are your favorite Sephora purchases?
We took another trip to Ross to shop for Summer pieces. Ross isn’t bad at all, because my friends were able to buy beautiful summer pieces and I picked some cute sets as well. We wrapped up Friday night and came home.
Saturday we brunched at Jones Assembly and this spot will always be a place in my heart. The ambience and most importantly the food is 10/10. I am glad my friends loved every bit of it. I ordered the Croque Madame; a set in stone order I always have. We then walked out our food bellies by thrift shopping. We weren’t so lucky as thrifting comes with luck, but I picked up some Express body contour tops I found. Then we stopped at Nordstrom Rack and I found the perfect sleek patent sling back shoes I have been wanting.
Finished the day by meeting my husband and boys at the Science museum, which has fast become our weekend spot for the boys. They absolutely love there, and it feeds their curiosity. Tell me, how was your weekend?
