I may not be in a tropical location, but I sure know how to bring those vibes to the City. Having just got back from vacation, I am still on the look out for last minute Summer events to attend and make this season memorable. When you hear tropical, you know it’s all about prints and I love bold vibrant prints.
It’s the perfect summer print for all things beach front, water front, etc themed event or you can simply wear them for any outdoor summer festivities. Most tropical looks are green but if you want to deviate from the typical green or palm leaf looks, you can opt for other bold leafy looks that are colorful like my pants. This lightweight flowy pants depicts the true picture of a tropical look without looking very greenery with palm leaves. It’s fun, bold and elegant.
Since we have a busy print on, it’s safer to tone down by going with solid pieces. This silk blouse has been one that has served my closet well. It’s a thrift store find that fills in as a neutral piece. The gold jewel tone color makes for the perfect color to pair with these pants. Although white will also pair beautifully, you want to pick a color that stands out, and is unseeming.
We will keep accessories neutral to make the pants stand out. Remember tropical prints are busy and you want to keep your look interesting by breaking it off with solid prints.
