How To Transition Your Summer Wardrobe Into Fall.

As we begin to gradually pull towards Fall, the anticipation of getting a somewhat cooler weather to the frantic ways of switching our clothes from Summer to Fall, starts to build up.

There are tips to keep at the forefront of our minds, as we approach this season and on this blog post, I will share 4 simple tips to adopt for your upcoming Fall wardrobe.

  1. I do a quick mental and physical sweep through my closet to see what I have and what I need. I do this with every season. It’s a good way to fill in those gaps. Sometimes, I do this sweep by going through pictures on my phone or social media platforms, refresh my memory on pieces that I currently have. If I have donate some items because they don’t fit anymore, this is also the time I check that off.
  2. Once I have created that space in my closet, I choose a day where I pull my Fall Winter pieces from my attic. Then I gradually switch my wardrobe Summer pieces to Fall pieces, leaving a considerable number of Summer pieces that can be restyled for Fall Winter. I make sure to not overstock my wardrobe with just warm pieces, because you still need your light layers for layering. I strategically replace my wardrobe pieces, while setting aside the items I want to donate.
  3. Now we have donated some items, I now have some space to fill in those gaps. Sometimes, gaps already exist before this sweep, eg I have been searching for a butter yellow long length coat and finally found one on Na-kd Fashion. Now is the time to fill in that gap by purchasing said coat for my Fall winter wardrobe.
  4. Last step is to be creative with your looks, revamp your style, recreate looks that you have worn previously. Style your pieces over again in different ways and enjoy the season!
