Do you know a piece of clothing that can easily take you into Fall? Yes, a slip dress is one of them. I always call slip dresses my layering pieces for Fall winter because, I never put away my summer clothes when Fall Winter comes. I use that opportunity to be creative with my looks and how well I can put them together.
This Polka dot slip dress, is the perfect summer dress. The color is nothing compared to a typical Fall color, neither does it Fall into the category of current Fall color trends this year. However, as someone who doesn’t go shopping for a whole new wardrobe for Fall, this is a great way to incorporate what I already own into this Fall season.
Whether your slip dresses are silk, satin or polyester, find ways to style them by using the layering technique. You can wear a turtle neck long sleeve tee underneath your dress, for when the winter or colder months come. You can also wear a shirt over it, sweater or sweat shirt. It’s all about pairing what you already have and see what fits your style.
With Fall, the layers will be lighter because we are still experiencing the 65s and low 70s which is great temperature for a slip dress and chunky knit cardigan to keep you warm. Did a color play off with my cream boots, to highlight the polka dots on the dress.
