How To Style An Oversized Blazer.

Blazers have fast become an all season wardrobe staple which isn’t reserved for just Fall/Winter but also summer time. They are the “IN” item for Fall which can definitely be worn during this winter season. It is a clothing item that has been associated with an office style until these recent times where they became the forefront to street style.

On Today’s Blog Post, I will be sharing more on How To Style An Oversized Blazer for the season.

There is something fashionable about an oversized blazer even if they are from the men’s section. They create that silhouette and room to play with especially when it comes to layering. With a Blazer like this, you are able to pair numerous items, from jeans, to tracks, to pants and skirt as pictured above. I must say, all my best Blazers were thrift finds so thanks to Secondhand fashion.

With the winter season here, I decided to create a Chic look. Something that is slightly weather appropriate, hence I styled it with a Vintage Talbots Turtle Neck Sweater to compliment the Blazer, a Plaid Mini Skirt and a Mid- Calf Suede Boots.

As a good tool for layering, you can add any sweater of your choice underneath your blazer and a Top Coat above your blazer for an added warmth and more fashion forward look. You can also use a Graphic Tee Underneath the Blazer, a Shirt or a Tank and a wool scarf, whichever you prefer. Finally, for a more fashion-forward look, you can style your oversized blazer with a simple Tee, jeans and some slouchy boots like the one pictured above. A blazer truly transforms a casual look.

Styling this Plaid skirt with the Blazer was definitely the right choice for that Chic look. It created that perfect contrast to the neutral look going on above, and definitely a break in the flow of a tonal look. Love this Mini Plaid skirt which was a closet sale find but actually a Who What Wear Collection from Target and I found exact ones in different sizes HERE, HERE & HERE. The asymmetrical concept and the acrylic button made it a little stylish.

For my accessories, I kept it pretty simple with pearl stoned necklace and studded earrings. A bold red lips for sure with my hair swooped to the back.
