Having a comfortable and chic dress, while having the best picnic experience with your friends this summer is key. From the setup, to your fashionable pieces and your food spread, ties together to make your picnic eventful.
This Grayson Tissue cotton dress called the “Changemaker“, has to be one of the lightest and most airy dresses I have worn in a long time. It is their latest design which comes with long sleeves and pleats for a very feminine style that offers a relaxed fit. Words can’t describe how comfortable this dress feels and if you are thinking it’s black and in no way is it perfect for a picnic setting, my best bet is to have you try one out. Relaxed enough for me to munch on all my picnic snacks, move freely on the floor, stretch to grab drinks etc. It is a great dress for a picnic date and especially if you shy away from bright floral dresses.
I had the best time pulling these items together to create the perfect picnic setting. My motto is never thinking too hard, have the basic necessities you need to create that picnic ambience and you are good to go. Got few fruits out of my fridge, carried along some cookies, poured some orange juice into the bottle and threw in some print place mats, Vogue magazines and colorful plates, to add that contrast to my white sheet (Definitely carry along a sheet you will need for the field), relax and enjoy nature.
As the camera started rolling, I truly relaxed, ate and enjoyed the scenery while shots were being taken. Although I had fun while shooting these, I truly want to have an actual picnic with friends, but at the end of the shoot, I had my son jump in for a few snaps and a little hang out with Mummy.
My dress didn’t hinder me neither did it make me feel uncomfortable. I had the best “picnic” experience with all that I needed around me.
Having the right picnic bag to help move your items to and fro your picnic venue is also important. Packing up afterwards wasn’t a hassle as my Grayson Tote came in handy to fit in all my accessories and food pack I had carried along for my picnic. This tote doesn’t only serve as the perfect picnic bag, it can be used for grocery store run, airport days and for a content creator like me, to put in my change of clothes when I have a location shoot. Now that’s a versatile Tote!!!.
