Patterned outfits may seem all over the place and slightly confusing to accessorize but the easiest and safest way to go about it, is by adding a pop of color to your look. Either your jewelries, purse or shoes can be the pop of solid color. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t use neutral tones like black, beige, browns or white to accessorize your look.
Inasmuch as I love colorful pieces, there is still a need to fill in neutral tones for my closet and one of them, is by having black and white outfits or a combination of both because that’s a good way to have a balanced wardrobe in my opinion. While this isn’t fixed on stone as many may not want these pieces in their closet, it is usually advisable to have a couple as they come in handy for some events you need to attend.
Another great way to accessorize black and white patterned outfits is by mixing colorful patterns or same color patterned pieces. This will be accommodating if you love print mixing, pairing different patterns, designs, concepts and colors.
I love this set from New York & Company. Although sold separately which is what these brands do 100% of the time, the fabrics are totally different. The wide leg pants comes in a strechy fabric while the top comes in a cotton-like fabric. I got the pants in a Tall so I get the long length cuff and they fit perfectly, also love the abstract design on them. They are high waist with front slash pockets, back welt pockets and fits as a full length.
Got the top in a medium and I love the poplin sleeves, with a bow-front detail but I tied mine to the back to give the illusion of a crop top.
