Ways To Wear Royal Blue For Fall.

What colours go with royal blue

At this point, there is no colour that is restricted for just Fall. Since the emergence of colourful look this past Summer, wearing colours into Fall/Winter isn’t a surprise anymore. When you think you have styled all the colour combination looks, there will be one or two colours from the colour wheel you haven’t touched on.

On today’s blog post, I will be sharing ways in which you can effectively incorporate royal blue into your Fall looks.

Royal blue is one colour I didn’t realise was absent in my wardrobe until I received this set from the newly launched Gabriel Union collection with New York & Company. It is a ruched turtleneck sweater top and a rouched skirt. Both items are classy and flattering on. Can be worn by itself or used as a layering piece underneath your coats and jackets. They come in a rich royal blue colour which brings a bold touch to any look. The fabric isn’t stretchy at first, but when you have it on for a while, it stretches and fits into your body shape which is really nice.

Since royal blue is a bold colour for Fall, you may want to tone it down with neutral colours if you are not much of a colour blocking individual. Earthy and neutral tones have a way of giving a mild contrast to a look, rather than sharp contrast when you pair with bold colours. I chose to style with this cream coat for a cool contrast. Another great way to style royal blue for Fall is by adding metallic pieces, like my shoes. Those are a little shiny but if you choose the darker shades in a metallic piece, it will work fine. Your choice of coat or jackets will depend on the piece you have on. I went for this long length coat to create that balance between the skirt and the coat.
