Nothing screams more like a traditional Valentine’s Day look like this outfit. It has the well known red and pink a Valentine’s Day look is known to have. This is in no way saying other colors are not acceptable to wear on Valentine’s Day and if I have to choose, I would go with some other color than the traditional Pinks, Reds, Whites and Black.
On today’s blog post, I will be sharing some colors, tones, hues and looks that are great for Valentine’s Day. If you want to stay clear from the traditional Valentine colors, keep reading as this post is for you.
Although these colors are associated with Valentine’s day, I will prefer to wear something with a jewel tone as those are really feminine and flattering on. No matter the piece it comes in, there is something unique about a lady in a jewel tone outfit. Jewel tones are colors from precious stones, that come in rich saturated hues which makes them distinctive. These hues include emerald green, citrine yellow, amethyst purple, sapphire blue and ruby red. Having a jewel tone outfit for Valentine’s day, will give you a romantic look to celebrate with your significant other.

If you are seeking to stick to the pinks and reds, this look is from New York & Company and it’s their color blocked heart-print sleeveless sweater and color block pencil skirt. The skirt is high waisted, comes with a belt (not pictured here) and a slit for a modern appeal. The sleeveless sweater in this color is currently sold out but will be linking similar options below. I paired both items together to create an illusion of one piece.
