I simplified these steps for anyone who is new to makeup and trying to venture into some fun looks especially for Valentine’s Day. It definitely starts with a good base, making sure you get your skin silky smooth and healthy looking. That is what sets the tone for your overall makeup look.

For a special day such a Valentine’s Day, you want to work on having a long lasting, fresh looking makeup look. Start with a good primer and work your way to your foundations and concealer. Once you get a good canvas to work with, every other application step seems secondary.

Once I got my base done, I focused on my eyelids, which looks small but I try to get a good amount of eyeshadow on it, using the Lime Crime Venus 3 Eyes and Face Palette.

A good trick to having a good eye makeup look for, is by choosing bold shades that will pop especially when your eyelids are small. I used the shade Dreamy, Paradise and Beam, since I was going for a purple eye look. I played around with these three purple shades to create this iridescent eye look, making sure that I get some of those in my inner tear dot as those open and brighten the eyes.

For my waterline, I used the L.A Colors Neon Gel eyeliner in shade “”Enchanted”.

For my brows, I used the Elf brow gel to brush them in place, let them sit to dry and filled the outer corners to create an illusion of a laminated looking brows.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Liquid Eyeliner has been an impactful item in my beauty collection, whether you are going for an everyday look or a Valentine’s day inspired look, it’s definitely a product to have.

Bronzer is the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream in shade “Tan Deep and I set it with the Iconic London Bronzing Powder in shade “Warm Deep” for that overall warmth to my skin.

I used the Lime Crime Palette as my highlighter and the Merit Flush balm for my blush, which gives a perfect dewy and shimmer look. Lined my lips with the Becca Ultimate Lip Definer in shade “Blissful” and the Nars Lipstick in shade “Tolede”. Finished up the look with the Saie Airset Radiant Loose Powder in shade “Translucent Deep”
