Dry Skin Remedies.

We are now in the middle of winter, with a cold breeze that leaves the skin dry, cracked and flaky. Not the best time for any skin, especially those with dry skin like me, that is why I have mastered the art of layering my body care products to the point I look like a glazed donut haha, but hey my skin won’t look extremely dry.

How to deeply moisturise your skin during winter
The best body oil for very dry skin

how to best layer your body care products.

My shower routine has gradually gotten better. First, I use less to no bar soaps because they tend to dry out my skin quickly. I opt for moisturizing shower gels or body wash. During winter months, I also tend to exfoliate less as well. Speaking of shower gels, the Dove deep moisture body wash is a staple in my household and whenever I want to treat my skin further, I incorporate one of the Naturium body wash, especially the Niacinamide and brightening shower gel.

Shower oils are a staple in my routine. I started using them last year and it improved my routine. I used Pacifica Beauty shower oil in the past and I love it. However, I got to try the Loccitane shower oil and the experience was amazingly different. Now, I have restocked that shower oil twice. I use it at every routine to soften, condition and moisturize my skin. This thick shower oil emulsfies into a milky texture upon contact with water, and I can feel how soft and moisturizing it feels on my skin. This step kicks in the process of how I layer my body care products.

After I get out of the shower, I apply my Aveeno body oil. This oil?? just get it. As someone who has dry skin, I have used quite a couple of options and this one by Aveeno stuck with me. It has a thick texture and does the job for us dry skin girlies.

I just got in the Osea body oil to try out, and it’s not bad at all. It does have a lemon fragrance to it, but I still prefer the thickness the Aveeno body oil has.

why shea butters are good for moisturizing dry skin
how do I keep my sin moisturized during winter?

Down to the body butters. These are key to sealing the moisture down into your skin. This is the last step in my body care routine especially when it comes to moisturising my skin on winter months. This is where my glazed donut skin comes through, leaving my skin shiny and deeply moisturized.
