Temperatures have dropped and what a time to enjoy the cool air breeze with sunshine. Fall transition looks are on the rise, would you be shopping for newer pieces for your wardrobe or you will be restyling what you already have. For me, I would be doing both and leaning more on the latter, while restyling most of my existing pieces.

A pleated skirt is nothing short of Iconic. It may not be a style for everyone, but it is definitely a style for me. It has reemerged on runways throughout decades, in different fabrics, styles and length. However, the true classic nature of a pleated skirt depicts modernity, collegiate, glamor and cool. They are great pieces that could transition your wardrobe to summer, winter and spring time.
Depending on the length you go for, a classic faux leather pleated skirt can be worn in various ways. For a transitional look, pair with a white tee and a denim jacket or a wool cardigan and a trench coat for a more on trend look. You can totally take this look from a modern day business ensemble, to a dress down casual look on the weekend.

Monochromatic looks are easy and chic to pull together. Pair your skirt with different textures and fabrics, to break the uniformity that comes with wearing a pleated skirt. Make it more interesting by layering different pieces to draw into and take from the skirt. A blazer is classic piece that would draw into the skirt and a your accessories would take from it.
I consider what I already have and what will bring that extra spice to my wardrobe and this Faux leather button front long sleeve belted shirt dress is that piece. It is a unique dress, well made with a belt for that structured and waist cinched fit. It is not a thick leather, which makes it wearable in the last days of Summer and into Fall.
