With Fall, comes different techniques when doing your makeup. The cooler the weather, the heavy handed you may go when creating a Fall makeup look. It definitely isn’t necessary or advisable to have heavy makeup on, but we tend to leave light and airy looks for summer.
I usually go with bolder lips during Fall/winter- such as deep purple, dark browns, burgundy etc because they tend to depict Fall season and with a simple makeup look and a bold lip, you are good to go for a Fall/Winter look.

You can find so many Fall makeup ideas on the internet, and one of the techniques I used to achieve a good Fall makeup look, is by always having a good base where I can build on for a more heavier look on the lips and cheeks. I never really work on my eyes as I have small eyelids and eyeshadows tend to never look prominent on them. I can get away with some shimmer on my lids and a darker matte shade for the corners of the lids, but that’s about it.
Oh and for my cheeks, I never go without applying a dark berry shade blush, for a more cohesive full fall makeup look. It gives a beautiful flush look to the skin, while adding a little definition to the cheek bones and face.
Most people tend to go heavy handed on their entire look because the cool Fall/Winter breeze preserves the look, keeping it refreshed all day long.

how to create a fall makeup.
Good makeup ideas start with a flawless base. For this Fall look, I used the Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation in shade “Carob”. It is an oil free gel foundation which has a medium to full coverage. It’s buildable and doesn’t feel heavy in the skin. Check out this blog post for my Chantecaille favorites.
For my under eyes, I used the Elf Camo Concealer and it’s amazing. It instantly brightens and covers up any dark circles you may have. Although it claims to have a 16 hr long wear which I am yet to try out, but it does have a good long wear for about 8hrs. Jouer Cosmetics high pigment pearl lip gloss in shade “maldives” which is a perfect Fall shade. Finished the look with a dewy finish, using the Merit Beauty Cheek Color in “Raspberry Beret”
