I can’t believe I am saying this, but jeans are slowing becoming an easy summer piece in my closet. A pair of jeans can be easily dressed up when you have less time to think about your outfit. You can throw on any top, a t shirt, tank or bodysuit over it.
While I still prefer wide leg pants over jeans, jeans seem easier to style when it comes to basic looks. Most wide leg pants project the need to be more creative with your look. I am more particular about the fit of the jeans as I like them fitted on my waist and hips area but loose of my thighs and lower, just to give the illusion of a baggy, loose fitting or wide leg silhouette.
I can’t stress enough how important bodysuits are great summer outfits. They come in very handy when you want a quick and easy look. You can style them on their own, or as an additional layer underneath your duster or beach cover up. Whenever I am confused on what top to style a piece of bottoms with, I reach out for bodysuits.
Recently, style experts have indicated that swim wears can be worn as bodysuits because they are very versatile when it comes to styling.
how to style simple summer outfits.
Summer accessories are always the cutest to style. Talk straw hats, fun bags, sunglasses, mules etc all ties into elevating a basic denim and bodysuit look. Without the hat and sunglasses, my look will be absolutely basic, but the straw hat draws that summer element into the whole look and they also add that additional layer of sun protection.
This is a Wild and Fable jeans I found in Burlington for $8.99. Mules and bag are thrift store finds, Straw hat is a closet sale find, body suit is from Marshalls and sunglasses in from Target. Pulling simple pieces together can help you build your desired summer outfits.
