Today is my birthday, and turning 35 is very exciting. After a busy festive season, I decided to do something more relaxing to celebrate my birthday, and choosing Omni Oklahoma City was perfect.
We have freezing temperatures, which made it better for indoor activities. I spent the first night with my husband, while our boys stayed home with our nephew. The next morning being Saturday, they came over to join us. We kicked off the day with a delicious spread of Breakfast served by Seltzer’s. I wanted room service so we could better relax and not rush in out and about the hotel lobby. My boys were so excited as though it was their birthday haha.
After breakfast, I tried scheduling a massage session which I had paid through the hotel activity portal. Unfortunately, I didn’t know reservations had to be made at least 2 days prior. As they say, some disappointments are a blessing in disguise. So I was offered a facial treatment because they were fully booked on massage. I got that booked and took advantage of their full Spa benefits.
how to have a relaxing staycation.
I came back for my Prescrptive facial treatment 30 mins earlier, in order to enjoy the Sauna and relaxation room. I spent about 15 minutes in the Sauna which was so relaxing but also hot! Then I proceeded to the relaxation room and spent another 15 mins just before my Esthetician was ready for me.
While I was in the Spa, my husband took the boys for a stroll around the hotel arena, but they couldn’t visit the pool or roof top areas due to freezing temperatures. I spent the next hour plus, just rejuvenating my skin and getting pampered all round.
I got a chemical peel for the first time, and hydro facial treatment. Thank goodness, the chemical peel wasn’t the ones that needed down time. My skin was back to normal and I could get ready for my birthday dinner few hours later.
We dined at Bob’s Steak and Chop House. In summary, food, ambience and service was top notch. It was a perfect way to end the day, with delicious food surrounded by my family.

A quick run down of my look. Dress is by Miss Circle, shoes and bag is from JC penny, earrings are Etikka. Hair and makeup, done by me. Glad I got this braided ponytail extension to add a little vava room to my hair. I kept my makeup very simple, of course with a bold red lips, having just done a facial treatment. I wanted a very simple but elegant dress.
