I can’t believe I am saying this, but Fall is around the corner. In fact, Fall is here with all the fashion that it brings. While I sadly but happily leave Summer behind, I am happy to get some cooler temperatures that comes with exciting fashion. Don’t get me wrong, I love Summer fashion, but what happens when the weather is so hot and uncomfortable that you can barely even wear your fun clothes.
We are already being hounding by brands and their latest Fall collection and I am here to tell you about the newest Fall transition dress I picked up from New York & Company. When choosing pieces for my Fall wardrobe, I consider what I already have and what will bring that extra spice to my wardrobe and this Faux leather button front long sleeve belted shirt dress is that piece. It comes in size XS to XXL. By description, this is the color “Pouring Red”. It is a unique dress, well made with a belt for that structured and waist cinched fit. It is not a thick leather, which makes it wearable in the last days of Summer and into Fall.
When the temperature becomes cooler, this will also be a good layering dress. You can wear a turtleneck top underneath, with a pair of leggings and knee high boots like mine. For more layers, you can add a stylish top coat to finish up the look.
One thing I must emphasize on is the weight of the dress. It may look heavy per Faux leather, but the lining is made of a soft fabric which is somewhat breathable. I didn’t feel hot while shooting the look in an 80s weather. In essence, you can wear this now and into the colder months. Style with some heels or sneakers for that smart look.
